GHAZIABAD: Russia's Pavel Maletin won the Commonwealth chess title following a 31-move draw against M.R. Lalith Babu while runner-up R.R. Laxman led an Indian sweep of the Commonwealth medals here on Tuesday. Though Maletin and Laxman tied for the title on nine points after 11 rounds, the former's superior tie-break score made him the champion and Laxman walked away with the Commonwealth gold medal.
