HYDERABAD: Long queues at eSeva centres can be ruled out if the consumers choose to use the lesser known ‘online' mode to pay their power bills. With the option remaining relatively unexplored by the general public, CPDCL officials have thought it necessary to spread awareness about it. Through a press note on Wednesday, CMD of the company M.T. Krishna Babu sought to refresh public memory about the online payment option launched a year ago. Consumers need to enter into the CPDCL official website www.apcentralpower.com and click on the ‘pay your bill' option displayed on the right side of the screen. After entering the district's name, EROand the service connection number, the consumer have to specify if it is the current or advance payment. Name, address, bill details and the amount to be paid will appear on the screen and the portal will enable the customer to choose the payment mode. The operation will be completed once the card details are entered and security check is done, Mr. Krishna Babu said. One more facility is payment through Electronic Clearing Service, whereby the consumer has to fill an application form available on the website. The CMD also threw light on the Web Enabled Customer Service Centres. Consumers can take their grievances to these centres for resolution. New service connections requiring no extension of line will be released within 48 hours, he said.
