Vasudevan Nair has said that Sobhana Parameswaran Nair brought meaningful changes in Malayalam cinema by producing works that offered glimpses into the common man's life. MT was addressing a function to observe Parameswaran Nair's first death anniversary. Parameswaran Nair's wife Saraswati Amma lit the traditional lamp to inaugurate the function. Parameswaran Nair, who entered cinema as a still photographer for the path-breaking Malayalam film, ‘Neelakkuyil', went on to produce unforgettable films such as ‘Murapennu', ‘Ninamaninja Kaalpadukal', ‘Nagarame Nandi', ‘Abhayam' and ‘Kallichellamma' — all known for their literary moorings.
