Jamabandhi concludes

Coimbatore: District Revenue Officer A. Shanmugasundaram on Thursday handed over benefits and certificates to 257 beneficiaries at the valediction of the ten-day-long Jamabandhi at the Coimbatore South Taluk for the pasali year 1419.

Coimbatore South tahsildar P. Subramanian said that during the Jamabandhi a total of 1,791 petition were received.

Actions were taken on the petitions on Thursday in respect of 257 petitioners.

Certificates

The benefits and certificates handed over or requests conceded were in respect of 176 Old Age Pension, Destitute Women Assistance, financial assistance for handicapped, 14 persons were given house site pattas worth Rs. 7 lakhs, patta transfer for 31 persons, natham patta for 14 persons, name change in family card for five persons, ownership certificate for obtaining electricity connection for one persons, certificates to ten destitute women and six other certificates.

Others

Mr.Subramanian said that actions were being expedited in respect of other petitions that ranged from patta transfer, land survey, sub-division, permission for tree cutting, electricity connection, seeking family cards.
