Petition on video-conferencing between NIMS and the court coming up today HYDERABAD: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has completed 90 per cent of the investigation into the Satyam fraud case and is keen on completing the trial as early as possible, its DIG V.V.Lakshmi Narayana said here on Thursday. Replying to questions at a press conference here, he said the investigation into manipulation and falsification of accounts was completed and continuing with regard to diversion of funds. He said the CBI suspected that funds were diverted to six countries and letters rogatory sent to all of them. Replies were received from Belgium, Singapore and Mauritius and were awaited from British Virginia Islands, USA and the U.K. He said the CBI had already filed three charge-sheets, including a standalone relating to Income Tax. The trial was pending for the presence of former Satyam Computers chairman B. Ramalinga Raju. The CBI requested the Special Court to allow video-conferencing between NIMS and the court. The petition would be coming up on Friday, he added. Replying to another question, he said video-conferencing was done in the cases involving stamp scam accused Abdul Karim Telgi earlier. He said CBI had taken the Court's permission for returning the seized documents on which the agency had not relied upon in Satyam case.
