Ghosal loses

New Delhi: India's Saurav Ghosal lost to top seed Ramy Ashour of Egypt in straight games in the pre-quarterfinals of the Sky Open squash tournament in Cairo.

Unseeded Ghosal, ranked 27th in the World, went down to the Egyptian 5-11, 8-11, 7-11 in 35 minutes at the Sky Petrosport Club on Wednesday.

Ghosal had earlier defeated 16th seeded Malaysia's Mohd Azlan Iskandar 11-9, 4-11, 11-8, 11-2 in the first round on the opening day of the PSA Super Series championship.

That was the Kolkata-boy's first success in a Super Series event this year, who has become India's highest-ranked player of all-time. — PTI
