He lists out his achievements as an MLC and a Minister, at a meeting of teachers HUBLI: The former Minister Basavaraj Horatti on Wednesday launched his campaign for election to the Karnataka West Teachers' Constituency of the Legislative Council at a meeting of the Karnataka Madhyamika Shala Noukarara Sangha. Addressing members of the sangha, Mr. Horatti appealed to teachers to consider his contribution for their welfare before casting their votes. Listing out his achievements as an MLC and a Minister, Mr. Horatti said he had the satisfaction of having solved many of the teachers' problems. Writer Mohan Nagammanavar, M.B. Natu and secretary of the Hubli unit of the sangha Gadadinni appealed to voters to elect Mr. Horatti. Secretary of the North Karnataka Aided Educational Institutions' Association K.T. Patil, who presided over the function, spoke about the problems of educational institutions and how Mr. Horatti had fought for their cause. Meanwhile, members of the sangha started door-to-door canvassing on behalf of Mr. Horatti at Ranebennur in Haveri district on Thursday.
