Dialysis centre opening today
VIZIANAGARAM: Kidney dialysis centre is being opened for the first time for the benefit of people from Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts at Tirumala Hospitals here on Saturday. This was disclosed at a press conference on Friday by the hospitals chairman Tirumala Prasad.
J.A.L. Ranganath, consultant nephrologist transplant physician, Apollo Hospitals, Visakhapatnam, who was present, said as a number of kidney-related cases were being reported regularly from these two north coastal districts, it was decided to launch a dialysis centre here. Moreover, the treatment here would be available at affordable rate. Dr. Tirumala Prasad said that recently joint replacement unit using advanced orthopaedic technology at the hospitals was also introduced.
