Nakkeeran's plea admitted
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Wednesday admitted an appeal by a Tamil magazine challenging a single Judge's interim order of April this year restraining it from publishing anything relating to Swami Nithyananda.
A vacation Bench, comprising Justices V. Dhanapalan and D. Hariparanthaman, ordered notice to the Dhyanapeeta Charitable Trust, Ramnagar district, Karnataka. Nakkeeran Publications contended that newspapers had a right to publish and expose illegalities. Any attempt to stifle such efforts would be against public interest.
