Collector suspends BDO

ARIYALUR: The services of three employees, including a Block Development Officer, were placed under suspension on Friday. The action followed a surprise inspection of rural development works by District Collector T. Abraham.
He inspected a road-laying work in Kavanur village and, noticing serious delay in its execution, ordered the suspension of services of Block Development Officer Sridharan and Assistant Engineer Jayaraman attached to the Panchayat Union Office at Ariyalur.
The Collector, who also inspected distribution of water from the overhead tank in Marudhur village, found the distribution inadequate and placed the operator, Senthilnathan, under suspension.
