TIRUCHI: A bus passenger died and seven others sustained injuries after a State Transport Corporation bus overturned on the Tiruchi – Dindigul national highway near Alampattipudur in the early hours on Sunday. The bus was on its way to Palani from Tiruchi when the driver applied brakes upon noticing a vehicle coming in the opposite direction, the police said. In the melee, the bus lost control and overturned in which a passenger A. Kalimuthu (45) of Chennai died on the spot.
