All smiles:Students in a jovial mood after writing the EAMCET exam at Dr.L. Bullaya College in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. VISAKHAPATNAM: Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2010 passed off peacefully in the district with 96.4 per cent attendance. Of 25,084 who registered for the test, 21,108 wrote the engineering test. There were 786 absentees from engineering stream and 196 from agriculture and medical tests, according to Prof. K. Venkata Subba Rao, district coordinator for EAMCET. Of 43 centres in the district, 37 were earmarked for engineering. For EAMCET 2009, over 26,000 had applied. This time the number came down marginally due to various reasons.
