Satyam scam accused to get reports on seized material

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: A special court here has asked the CBI to supply to the accused in the Satyam Computers scam copies of CDs/DVDs containing expert reports submitted by the Government Examiner of Questioned Documents with regard to the latter's opinion on the material seized in the scam.

The court posted the case for hearing on Monday when a petition of one of the accused, G. Ramakrishna, seeking access to a laptop in jail to prepare his defence would be taken up. The CBI had opposed his plea on the ground that he may access Internet.

Meanwhile, the court on Friday rejected the petition of former CFO of Satyam, Srinivas Vadlamani, seeking treatment in a private hospital for an eye ailment. He was earlier referred to S.D. Eye Hospital on May 22 when doctors undertook a check up and found no abnormality. They advised that he be shown to a neurophysician which Srinivas refused.
