Applications invited for diploma programmes

COIMBATORE: Geedee Technical Training Institute (GTTI) has invited applications for diploma programmes. The G.D. Naidu Charities-run institution offers Diploma in Tool and Die Engineering, Diploma in Precision Machining Technology, Diploma in Mechatronics, Certificate in Mould Polishing, Post Diploma in Tool Design and Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics.

A release says the eligibility for the Diploma in Tool and Die Engineering programme, conducted in association with IHK, Germany, is either a pass in SSLC/10 {+t} {+h} standard or equivalent with minimum 50 per cent in English, maths and science. The age limit for the four-year programme: 15 – 19 years.

For the Diploma in Precision Machining Technology programme, which is recognised by the National Council for Vocational Training, the Institute has fixed SSLC/10 {+t} {+h} standard or equivalent with minimum 40 per cent in English, maths and science. This programme also has the same age limit. The duration: three years. The Diploma in Mechatronics programme has a similar duration and eligibility as the Tool and Die Engineering course. The Institute runs it in association with FESTO, Germany.

The six-month Certificate in Mould Polishing is open for candidates between 18 and 30 years and who have passed class eight. This programme has assistance from NOVOPAX, Germany.

The Post Diploma in Tool Design and Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics programme are run independently and have similar duration and age limit. The programme is open for those not more than 30 years.

The Tool Design course takes in candidates with diploma/degree in mechanical/tool and die engineering or equivalent with minimum 60 per cent. The Mechatronics programme is for diploma/degree holders in electronics, mechatronics and instrumentation with minimum 60 per cent marks.

The release says GTTI has got all facilities and infrastructure to suit international standards. With state-of-the-art machineries, equipment, design software and industry exposure, the Institute trains students with skills to compete in global arena by following modern syllabus and advanced technology.
