PCB undecided on Howard nomination

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) seems to be confused whether to support former Australian Prime Minister John Howard's nomination for the ICC's vice-president post or not, as board chairman Ijaz Butt has refused to divulge any details regarding its stand.

Sensitive

Butt termed the issue as ‘sensitive' and said the PCB would reveal its stance only during the upcoming ICC executive council's meeting.

“This is a confidential matter and I don't want to make public comments on it.

“Whatever we have decided, we will discuss at the ICC meeting but this is something the ICC only can give a public statement.

“All I can say is we are aware of the situation and we know it is an important and sensitive matter,” The Nation quoted Butt, as saying. — ANI
