Khehar favoured for Karnataka High Court CJ

BANGALORE: Union Minister for Law and Justice M. Veerappa Moily on Saturday said that the collegium of the Supreme Court has recommended the name of Uttaranchal High Court Chief Justice J.K. Khehar to the Union Government for appointing him as the new Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, replacing P.D. Dinakaran.
Speaking to presspersons on the sidelines of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's Southern India Regional Council conference, the Union Minister said that his ministry had moved the relevant file pertaining to the appointment of Mr. Khehar over to the authorities concerned for further action.
