Police teams on lookout for MLA's kidnapped nephew

Staff Reporter

ARIYALUR: Eight special teams have been formed to trace the kidnapped nephew of Ariyalur MLA ‘Palai' Amaramoorthy.

Under the leadership of the Additional Superintendent of Police, Ramalingam, the teams have fanned out in different directions for nabbing the group of car-bound kidnappers who reportedly whisked away the boy, Dharmadurai, a standard IX student, while he was walking towards home after alighting from the school vehicle at his native village Palayapadi on Friday.

The kidnappers are reported to have made a couple of phone calls to the hostage's family so far.
