More quacks arrested

Tirupur/Krishnagiri: As many as six quacks were arrested in Tirupur district on Saturday and Sunday following raids. Police sources said that Shanmugam (56) was picked up from Kangayam police station limits, Kuppusamy (75) and Kalidas (46) from Tirupur Rural limits, P. Mirthithanjayam (63) and R. Sakaraivelu (68) from Tirupur North station limits and A Suraindran (55) from Kundadam station limits. In Krishnagiri, one more quack was arrested on Saturday night. Chakravarthi Viswas was arrested at his clinic in Krishnan Koil Street. He was practicing allopathic medicine for the past 20 years.

The number of quacks arrested in Krishangiri and Dharmapuri district has risen to 30.
