Thrissur: Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said here on Sunday that Kerala Police would extend help to arrest People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Nasir Maudany if there was a request from the Karnataka police in this regard. Mr. Maudany is one of the six persons against whom the Bangalore police have filed a charge sheet for his alleged involvement in the 2008 serial blasts in Bangalore. Mr. Balakrishnan told reporters that there was no likelihood of communal tensions if Mr. Maudany was arrested. “If there is any untoward development, it will be dealt with sternly,” he said.
