THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State government has shifted some of the top-level posts at the forest headquarters here to other centres and reshuffled officers holding various posts. The deployment of officers to centres outside the headquarters comes against the background of an increase in the number of Indian Forest Service officers holding Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) and higher posts with no corresponding increase in staff strength at the field level. The government order, issued here on Monday, said the changes were effected for making better use of the services of the senior functionaries. The cadre post of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Planning), Thiruvananthapuram, is shifted and redesignated as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Regional North), Kozhikode. The cadre post of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Social Forestry), Thiruvananthapuram, is shifted and redesignated as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Regional South), Kollam. The ex cadre post of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Development) is redesignated as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Working Plan and Research). The cadre post of Chief Conservator of Forests (Northern Region, Kozhikode) is shifted to Kannur. The cadre post of Chief Conservator of Forests (Planning), Thiruvananthapuram, is shifted and redesignated as Chief Conservator of Forests, Eastern Circle, Palakkad. The cadre post of Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) is shifted and redesignated as Chief Conservator of Forests, High Range Circle, Kottayam. The cadre post of Chief Conservator of Forests (Regional South), Kollam, is redesignated as Chief Conservator of Forests, Southern Circle, Kollam. The cadre post of Chief Conservator of Forests (Social Forestry, Thiruvananthapuram, is shifted and redesignated as Chief Conservator of Forests, (Social Forestry), Ernakulam. The cadre post of Chief Conservator of Forests, Kannur, is shifted to Kozhikode. S.P. Singh, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Planning), is posted as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, North, Kozhikode. P. Prasada Babu, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Social Forestry) is posted as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Regional South, Kollam. N.V. Trivedi Babu, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Development) is posted as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Working Plan and Research). Besides, 12 Chief Conservators of Forests and two conservators of forests have been transferred. Chief Conservator of Forests B. Shivaraju, who had been on compulsory waiting for posting, was given posting as Chief Conservator in charge of Working Plan and Research.
