Collector inaugurates Tamil meet campaign

ERODE: Collector R. Sudalaikannan inaugurated a campaign here on Friday evening to encourage people participate in the World Classical Tamil Conference.

The State-wide campaign would help spread awareness among people on the objectives and importance of the conference scheduled to be held in Coimbatore this month besides encourage more public participation in the events, officials said.

Officials said that a team would tour a number of parts in the district including rural areas in a vehicle as part of the campaign. People would be explained about the theme of the conference, its importance and various events to be held as part of it.

Mayor Kumar Murugesh, Erode Revenue Divisional Officer Benjamin Babu and senior officials were present.
