COIMBATORE: Ahead of the World Classical Tamil Conference 2010, Coimbatore will witness Semmozhi Kalaivizha on June 20, 21 and 22. Addressing journalists at the Collectorate here on Friday, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Kanimozhi said the art and cultural shows would be staged simultaneously at 11 places across the city. It would be held at prison grounds, Gandhipuram, Gandhi Park, Marudhamalai Aandavar Hr. Sec. School, T.A. Ramalingam School, Saibaba Colony, N.G. Ramasamy School, Kamarajar Road, C.M.S. School, Sathy Road, Corporation Girls' Higher Secondary School, Ramanathapuram, Srishti Vidyalaya, Selvapuram, Government Higher Secondary School, Kuniamuthur, I.T.I., Thudiyalur, and Corporation Kalaiarangam, R.S. Puram. She said Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin would inaugurate the programme on June 20 at the Kalaiarangam. Nearly 950 artists would showcase their talents in traditional Tamil art forms. Coimbatore Corporation schools' students would also participate in the art festival, she added.
