KOCHI: Director P. T. Kunjumohammed is making an attempt to map the life and contributions of Mohammed Abdurahiman Sahib, renowned freedom fighter and Congress leader. Titled “Veeraputhran,” the movie is being made under the banner of ITL Productions. Actor Prithviraj will play the role of Abdurahiman Sahib on screen. Other lead actors in the movie include Jagathy Sreekumar, Siddique, and Sreeraman. Mr. Kunjumuhammed, who is also penning the screenplay and dialogue for the movie, said the venture would be a sincere effort to narrate the various incidents in the life of Abdurahiman Sahib. “The film will portray the period spanning from the Congress meet held at Ottapalam in November 23, 1921 to the death of Abdurahiman Sahib on April 23, 1945,” he said. “Veeraputhran” will also include the images of the Salt Satyagraha, Malabar revolt and various other happenings related to the national freedom struggle.
