Thrissur: Seven cases of A(H1N1) influenza were confirmed in Thrissur district on Monday. Three of the patients were admitted to the District Hospital here and the rest to private hospitals, health officials said. Of the patients, three are women. In all, 23 cases of H1N1 influenza have been reported in the district so far. A case each of dengue fever and typhoid were also reported. Girl dies of fever A girl died of suspected fever at a private hospital here on Monday. Five-year-old Sreenanda, a first standard student in a school in Potta, was admitted to a hospital in Chalakudy last Thursday when she ran a temperature. When the fever did not subside, she was shifted to a hospital in Thrissur city, relatives said.
