MALAPPURAM: The Sanskrit Department of the University of Calicut has entered into an agreement with the Institute of South and Central Asian Studies (ISCAS) of Charles University, Prague. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in Prague recently. The universities will support mutual visits of teachers for lectures and joint projects. They will also explore exchange of research scholars and possibilities of joint projects and publications related to Indian studies. C. Rajendran, Professor and Dean, Faculty of Languages at Calicut University, signed the MoU on behalf of the Sanskrit Department. Charles University, founded by King Charles in 1348, is one of the oldest universities in Europe.
