MCI team inspects college

Spot study: A three-member team inspecting the government medical college at Thattanchavady in Puducherry.

PUDUCHERRY: A three-member team deputed by the Board of Governors of Medical Council of India on Monday inspected the Government Medical College at Thattanchavady.

The territorial administration during first week of June had sent to the Board of Governors an affidavit stating facilities available in the medical college as required by the Board..

The affidavit was sent following direction from Board of Governors based on a report submitted by a team which visited the college in May, sources in the government said.

“The inspection by the present team is to check details furnished in the affidavit,” a senior official said.
