CUTTACK: Hundreds of students and their parents are lining up in front of the office of the State Board of Secondary Education (BSE) here for last two days demanding revaluation of their Matriculation answer sheets. The State matriculation results were announced on Sunday in which a record 72 per cent of students were declared passed. Claiming to have got marks below their expectations, many disgruntled students claim that the evaluation of their papers have not been done properly. Many students claim that they have secured good marks in Mathematics, Science and Social science but the marks shown against subjects like English and Oriya are below their expectations. Students along with their parents from far-off places like Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jagatsingpur, Puri and other places have come down to the Board office alleging that their English paper answer sheets have not been properly evaluated. However, the Board officials have refused to admit that the evaluation of answer sheets was not done properly. “The sheer eagerness to find place in the prestigious top-hundred list, the students are demanding revaluation in some papers”, said the BSE president Satyakam Mishra. Board officials also pointed out that for students who are applying for revaluation due care would be taken to reevaluate the answer sheets again, the officials added.
