HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs.1 crore allegedly amassed by GHMC Town Planning Supervisor R.E. Nageswara Rao during simultaneous raids conducted at different places, including his house at Ashoknagar. Searches unearthed movable and immovable assets possessed by Rao in his name and in the names of his family members. The immovable assets include a house at Chikkadpally, four flats at Khairatabad, Yousufguda, Srinagar Colony and Begumpet, 12 plots in and around Kondapur, Jubilee Hills, Medchal, Alwal and Korremula, three shops at Secunderabad and Karmanghat and 11.11 acres of agricultural land and farmhouse at Moinabad in Ranga Reddy district. Movable assets Rs.2.17 lakh in cash, 100 grams gold ornaments worth Rs.1.50 lakh, silver and other household articles worth over Rs.3.50 lakh, bank balances of Rs.1.48 lakh and investments in LIC and chit fund companies were also found during the raids.
