Election code comes into effect

WARANGAL: As the poll code came into effect in the district, the municipal officials pulled out 250 banners, 300 flexi boards and 15 hoardings put up in public places.

District Collector N. Sridhar and joint Collector V. Karuna said that the exercise would be complete within three days.

Byelection would be held for the Warangal West constituency in the district as the TRS sitting MLA D. Vinay Bhaskar resigned his post.

The district administration came into election mode making preparation for the election.

Special wing

An election-special wing was set up within the District Police Office to draw plans for security arrangements.

Superintendent of Police, Mr. Shah Nawaz Qasim appealed to the political parties to adhere to the election code of conduct and seek permission for rallies and public meetings well in advance to avoid any kind of tussle.
