“I don't want to ask him to reconsider decision”

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: In contrast to the BJPs view that an appeal should be made to Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde to reconsider his resignation, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Thursday indicated that no such request would be made by the government. “I don't want to embarrass a person of the stature of Mr. Hegde who has worked as a Supreme Court judge by making a request to change his decision,” Mr. Yeddyurappa said . “I have high respect for Mr. Hegde. He is a man of high integrity and was responsible for several revolutionary changes. I thank him for his services as Lokayukta,” he added
