Swine flu scare returns
Swine flu is back! And so has the scare that's associated with it. While media returns to the routine of reporting the cases, the health officials are again gearing up to handle the disease along with creating awareness about it. The ones who are making a moolah out of all this are the chemists who are once again stocking the surgical masks which sold like hot cakes last time swine flu struck the city.
Hospitals too are reprinting posters about swine flu and offices sending out emails to employees about the flu and its symptoms. However, one does wonder if the ‘indigenous' cures, which got lot of attention, will receive the same response as they did last time around, thanks to the renewed response and ample information available on the flu.
