SANGAREDDY: Looks like there is lack of coordination in the Congress over getting the party ready for the byelections in Siddipet. It was clearly visible on Saturday at the District Congress Committee (DCC) held at Sangareddy. Though the meeting was important for the party, all the four Ministers -- in-charge Minister D.K. Aruna, Information Minister J. Geeta Reddy, Marketing Minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha and Minor Irrigation Minister V. Sunita Lakshma Reddy -- did not turn up for the meeting. District Congress Committee president T. Nandeeswar Goud, Sangareddy MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy, Gajwel MLA T. Narsa Reddy and Zilla Parishad chairman M. Balaiah attended the meeting while all other important leaders like MLAs and Members of the Legislative Council kept away. Leader clarifies Admitting that the presence of Ministers would have conveyed a better message for the party workers at Siddipet had they attended the meeting, a party leader clarified that as many of them were present at the meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Friday, they skipped the meeting. They would be attending the meeting at Siddipet on June 28 and 29, he said.
