KOCHI: Network for Fish Quality Management and Sustainable Fishing (Netfish), a registered society formed under the aegis of Marine Products Export Development Authority, has signed a memorandum of understanding with IFFCO Kisan Sanchar Limited (IKSL) for sending Netfish news to the mobile phone users of the fishing community. IKSL, a joint venture of Indian farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited and Bharti Airtel Limited, offers products and services designed for farmers and fishermen. The Netfish news on quality management and sustainable fishing is planned initially. Weather forecast, potential fishing zone data, fish price will be added later.
