Volleyball tourney

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Araku Valley police conducted J. Sankara Rao Memorial Volleyball tournament here to let youth from the district remember the then Munchingput Sub-Inspector of Police who was killed in Balimela incident.

Twenty-six youth teams from all over agency area participated in the two-day tournament, won by Araku team. The Paderu Deputy Superintendent of Police Srinivasa Rao distributed the winner and the runner-up shields.

Organisers gave away one volleyball each to all the 26 team members as a gesture of goodwill.

ASP Gopinath and Circle-Inspector Lakshman Murthy also attended.
