CID team visits Ankola

Karwar: A team of CID officials visited Ankola on Saturday night to investigate the case of alleged theft of iron ore worth Rs. 250 crore at Belekeri port. The transfer of the case to CID assumes importance after Lokayukta Santosh Hegde resigned. A team led by Muddumahadevayya, Deputy Superintendent of Police, visited the Ankola police station to collect information.
