Hyderabad: There are quite a few applications and sites that will help you check out videos and movies on your iPod or iPhone. But how many times have you paused the video due to slow video streaming? What if you didn't have to pause streaming while watching TV online? Global Takeoff Inc., a city-based company has developed YuppTV, an application which provides access to a bouquet of live Indian TV channels on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, without having to put up with erratic video streaming. The application can be downloaded from iTunes and enables high quality streaming without buffering, apart from offering an option for channel search. YuppTV application for iPhone also has a mobile marketing tool which allows advertisers to insert customised mobile advertisements in live streams. “This application is the first one to overlay advertisements on live streams and create an innovative marketing tool. Advertisers can target iphone users to send their advertisements, which increase the chances of advertisements being viewed. We would soon extend this platform to other content providers to reach the expatriate communities across the world,” said Udaynandan Reddy, CEO and Founder, Global Takeoff Inc. Language channels Users of iPod, iPhone and iPad can access different language channels like Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, English and Kannada and new language channels like Gujarati, Marathi and Tamil will be added to the YuppTV portfolio soon, Mr. Reddy added.
