MI to take on Highveld

Mumbai: IPL 3 runner- up Mumbai Indians will play Highveld Lions, South Africa in the opening match of the 23-match Airtel CLT20 at The Wanderers, Johannesburg on September 10. The final will be played at the same venue on September 26. The semifinals will be played at Durban on Sept. 24 and at Centurion on Sept. 25.

Many players have qualified to play for two or more teams. This includes Jacques Kallis (Warriors- Home team) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB - Away team), Mark Boucher, Warriors (H) and RCB (A), Makhaya Ntini, Warriors (H) and Chennai Super Kings (A) , Kieron Pollard, South Australian Redbacks and Mumbai Indians, Dwayne Bravo Victorian Bushrangers and Mumbai Indians and Cameron White, Victorian Bushrangers (H) and RCB (A).

The groupings:

Group A: Chennai Super Kings (Winner, IPL 3), Warrriors (South Africa), Victorian Bushrangers (Australia), Wayamba Elevens (Sri Lanka), Central Stags (New Zealand); Group B: Mumbai Indians (Runner up, IPL 3), Highveld Lions (South Africa), South Australian Redbacks (Australia), Royal Challengers, Bangalore (3 {+r} {+d} placed, IPL 3) and Qualifier (West Indians).
