Wards: final list published

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Delimitation Commission has published the final list of delimited wards in 969 grama panchayats, 46 municipalities and three Corporations. There are 16,514 divisions in panchayats, 1,681 in municipalities and 184 divisions in Corporations.

The details have been published in the respective civic bodies.

Three copies of the list will be given free of cost to panchayat and municipal committees of the national and State parties and the parties which have a representation in the Assembly. The public can have copies on paying the expense for taking duplicate copies.

The District Collectors received 5,870 complaints on the draft delimitation report. This included 5,164 complaints in panchayats, 565 in municipalities and 141 in Corporations. The commission held sittings in all districts and heard the complaints before preparing the final report.
