‘Kidnapper' arrested, victim freed

SANGAREDDY: Medak police arrested a kidnapper at Siddipet and released a victim who was tied with ropes in a vehicle.
According to A. Sundar Kumar Das, Superintendent of Police, when a vehicle tried to skip the police at Ponnala check-post and drove fast, police alerted their colleagues on the way ahead, who spotted the vehicle at a petrol bunk and arrested Santosh who had kidnapped one Shankaraiah of Baikkanoor in Nizamabad district.
Santosh was angry with Shankaraiah for allegedly harassing a relative and planned the kidnap with the help of his friend Nagaraju. Both of them kidnapped Shankaraiah at Bikkanoor on Tuesday evening and were travelling in a vehicle to Hyderabad when they were caught.Police seized two cell phones, ropes and cash from the kidnapper. Nagarju is at large.
