Draft electoral rolls to be released

CHENNAI: The draft electoral rolls will be released on Thursday and will be on display at designated locations, including post offices, polling booths and district election office, for public verification.

This was announced at an all-party meeting convened at the Chennai Corporation on Wednesday. A press release said the rolls would be kept for verification at the offices from July 1 to 16.

Special campaign would be held on July 10 and July 11. People could obtain the Forms 6,7,8, and 8A for deleting and making corrections to the rolls. The filled-in forms with photographs can be submitted at the same designated offices. Those forms without applicant's signature, those submitted in bulk and after July 16 would not be accepted.
