Maulana beaten up for endorsing talaq

Lucknow: A maulana and some employees of a madarasa were allegedly thrashed by a group of women for endorsing a “one-sided” talaq, the police said here on Wednesday. Enraged by the “one-sided” divorce given by Ali Imran to his wife Mumtaz Fatima alias Heena, a group of women including Heena thrashed Maulana Asgar Ali and two others of Sulatannual Madaris here on Tuesday. - PTI
