Canara Bank wins a thriller

CHENNAI: Canara Bank (Bangalore) scored a thrilling one-wicket win over BPCL (Mumbai) in a super-league fixture of the all-India YSCA Trophy cricket tournament.

In other super-league matches, SBT's Raiphi Vicent Gomes (77) and India Cements' S. Suresh Kumar (40 and five for 28) set up victories for their sides.

The scores: BPCL (Mumbai) 138 for eight in 30 overs (Suriya Yadav 29, Sairaj Bahutule 41 n.o.) lost to Canara Bank (Bangalore) 139 for nine in 29.1 overs (K.B. Pawan 28, C. Raghu 28, Anirudh Joshi 28, Rajesh Verma three for 30, Swapnil Hazare three for 20). Points: BPCL 0, Canara Bank 4.

SBT (Trivandrum) 228 for five in 30 overs (Raiphi Vicent Gomes 77, Ramakrishnan 63, Soni Cheruvathur 43) bt Parry's 155 for eight in 30 overs (K. Anand 33, Juzer Abbas 33). Points: SBT 5, Parry's minus 1.

India Cements 209 for seven in 30 overs (R. Prasanna 57, Maaruthi Raghav 37, S. Suresh Kumar 40, Chetan Williams three for 27) bt SBM (Bangalore) 170 in 27 overs (B. Akhil 39, Thilak Naidu 35, S. Suresh Kumar five for 28). Points: India Cements 4, SBM (Bangalore) 0.
