dated July 03, 1960: Mrs. Aung San in Delhi

Mrs. Aung San, Burma's Ambassador-designate in India, received a warm welcome on her arrival in New Delhi on July 2 from Rangoon. Representatives of the All-India Women's Conference and other organisations garlanded Mrs. Aung San. Our Rangoon Correspondent writes: the Burmese Ambassador-designate to India and Nepal, Daw Khin Kyi, widow of the late General Aung San, left for New Delhi on the evening of July 2, with her daughter. Daw Khin Kyi, the first Burmese woman Ambassador will be Burma's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to India and Nepal.
