92 p.c. clear Ed.CET

Hyderabad: The Education Common Entrance Test (Ed.CET) results were released here on Saturday with 92 per cent students clearing the test among the 1.88,281 candidates who appeared. The test was conducted in five subjects – mathematics, physical science, biological science, social studies and English.

The Minister for Higher Education D. Sridhar Babu released the results in the presence of APSCHE Chairman K.C. Reddy, OU Vice- Chancellor T. Tirupati Rao and the Ed.CET Convenor K.S.Sudheer Reddy. About 65,000 seats were available last year in 613 colleges and the number might increase this year.

Nirmala Sadasivuni of Srikakulam got the first rank in the English subject, Ganga Yamuna of Adilabad got the top rank in social studies, D. Anand Babu of Nizamabad got first rank in biological science, T. Devender Reddy of Nalgonda got first rank in physical science and Akula Veerabrahmam of West Godavari district secured first rank in mathematics subject.
