Bangalore: A laptop and Rs. 40,000 in cash were stolen from a house even as the residents were in the house in Hennur police limits on Saturday.

In his complaint, Abhishat Basu said he was reading the newspaper in a room and his wife was in the kitchen when the intruder entered through the open door and took the valuables. In a similar modus operandi, thieves took away musical instruments worth Rs. 1.5 lakh from a house in HAL II Stage on Saturday morning.
