KOCHI: Federal Bank has opened 31 new branches across Kerala, taking the total branch strength of the bank to 707. The 700 {+t} {+h} branch of the bank was inaugurated at Hormis Nagar, Mookkannoor, Ernakulam district, the birth place of K.P. Hormis, founder of the bank, by K.V. Thomas, Union Minister of State for Agriculture. M. Venugopalan, managing director and chief executive officer the bank presided over the meeting. He said that the bank has plans to open 75 more branches in the near future in the rural areas in Kerala. Transport Minister Jose Thettayil launched the mobile banking services of the bank. The new debit card of the bank, in association with Master Card, was also launched.
