It's India Cements vs. IOC

CHENNAI: India Cements and IOC (Mumbai) entered the final of the all-India YSCA Trophy cricket tournament with wins over Canara Bank (Bangalore) and BPCL (Mumbai) respectively in their semifinals on Saturday. Ravikant Shukla (53) starred for IOC (Mumbai), while K.B. Arun Karthik (79) set up India Cements' win over BPCL (Mumbai).

The scores: Semifinals: IOC (Mumbai) 195 for five in 30 overs (Mithun Beerala 35, Paresh Patel 43, Ravikant Shukla 53, Aditya Tare 29) bt Canara Bank (Bangalore) 177 for nine in 30 overs (Raaju Bhatkal 51, C. Raghu 26, Rajesh Pawar three for 20); India Cements 201 for six in 30 overs (K.B. Arun Karthik 79, K. Sreevasudeva Das 27, V. Maaruti Raghav 39) bt BPCL ( Mumbai) 160 in 28.1 overs (Vineet Indulkar 46, Anup Rewankar 33, Siraj Bahatalue 30, V. Yomagesh three for 41, R. Ashwin three for 18) .

Dwarakan shines

St. John's Academy posted a 90-run win over PSBB Millenium School, in the SJIRS T-20 cricket tournament, here.

The scores:

St. John's Academy 175 for six in 20 overs (Dwarakan 71 n.o.) bt PSBB Millenium School 85 in 17.2 overs (Abeshek Raja three for 29).

Vel's Vidyashram 120 for six in 20 overs (R. Raghul 30 n.o., Aravind 29, Bavesh three for 17) lost to S.P.T. Sorana Jain Vidyalaya 125 for three in 18.3 overs (D. Jeevan 30, Mukesh 31).

MCC HSS 107 for seven in 20 overs (Sachin Kailash 28) lost to Omega International School 108 for five in 17.5 overs (B. Manikandan 36, S. Rangarajan 26, Tenison three for seven).

Chess tournament
