Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Alok Mehta, Chief Editor of Nai Dunia, has clarified that Hem Chandra Pande, who was killed along with Naxal leader Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad in a police encounter at Adilabad in Andhra Pradesh this past week, never contributed or reported for any edition of the newspaper.

At a press conference here on Saturday, it was claimed that Pande was a freelance journalist who wrote for newspapers.
