PALAKKAD: Kerafed has procured 4,275 quintals of copra at Rs.4,400 a quintal through Marketfed and two service co-operative banks at the Central government's support price to help the farmers get a higher price for their produce. The copra is valued at Rs.1.90 crore, which was procured from 578 farmers said M. Vanajadalakshan, Assistant Principal Agricultural Officer (Marketing). The agencies procured 22,483.6 quintal of dehusked coconut valued at Rs.2.78 crore from 1,477 farmers.
