‘ Desi Girl' credits TV show competitor for her victory

TV actress Roshni Chopra

New Delhi: She may have been pulled down by co-contestant Sambhavna Seth in ‘ Desi Girl' but actress Roshni Chopra, who is the winner of the reality TV show, gives the credit to the Bhojpuri item girl for her victory.

Sambhavna had remarked that Roshni did not deserve to be in the show as she wasn't physically fit for any task. That was the time when the ‘ Kasamh Se' star decided to take the bull by the horns.

“That was the moment when I told myself that I have to prove her wrong. I had to prove everyone wrong who thought I am not worth it. And immediately after that I won the immunity task. I would say wherever I am today I am because of Sambhavna. I was a latent one and she is such a fire. I learnt a lot from her,” Roshni told PTI.

The 30-year-old actress, who is known for playing Prachi Desai's scheming sister in Ekta Kapoor's ‘ Kasamh Se', lived in Sialba Majri village near Chandigarh for seven weeks doing everything from milking buffaloes to picking up cow-dung with seven co-contestants during Imagine's TV reality show. After tackling bugs, lizards and back-biting, Roshni finally edged past the other two finalists, Ishitta Arun and Kashmera Shah.

“I have been forever paranoid about bugs but here abusive language was scarier. It was a tough mental battle where my value system was at test. Keeping my cool when everybody was saying anything to get more footage was my plus point,” Roshni said.

“I am eagerly looking forward now to Vikram Bhatt's romantic thriller ‘ Phirr' with Rajneesh Duggal and Ada Sharma. Then I also have a Hollywood production lined up but can't talk about it right now,” she added. - PTI
